About Me

My journey to New Orleans and Vintage Church has been an exciting journey. Originally born and raised in southwest Ohio, my wife, Rachel, and I moved to New Orleans in August of 2008 to pursue further education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where I earned both an M.Div. and Ph.D. Never in a million years did we plan on planting our roots here and staying.

God has a sense humor though and chose to keep us here. While I have done just about everything with Vintage Church (no really), I became the Lead Pastor of Vintage Church in December 2017 and absolutely love leading and serving our church.

There is nothing I love more than to hang with my wife and son, Gabriel, and my daughter, Emmalyn. They are the people who energize and refuel me day in and day out. I’ll also never pass up a good book, especially if it’s history or theology. Unfortunately, I never have enough time to read everything I want. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch me listening to my favorite singer-songwriter, Johnny Cash.
