Vintage Reflections – 10/7/2012
/This past weekend we were reminded in Paul’s letter to the church plant at Corinth that Jesus is worth it! Because He gives us life, hope, and purpose we are committed to sharing about Jesus with this entire city and world. Much like Paul, we are driven to see people meet and experience the real Jesus of the Bible who is alive today.
Since Hurricane Isaac we have been scrambling to gather as a Metairie Church family. Our building is in bad shape and we are currently meeting on Saturday nights at Lakeview Presbyterian Church. As we have gathered in the Lakeview area, our Metairie leadership has recognized that almost half of our Metairie family lives in the Lakefront area. Because we believe in Gospel Multiplication we are going to send out our Lakefront family to launch a third campus. The Metairie family will return to the Cleary property and continue to pray through where God is leading us in Jefferson Parish.
In order for this to happen we need real community to form in each if these regions. Starting on October 27th-28th (the week after our Vintage United Gathering at RockNBowl on October 21st) we will be a three campus church. We have put a map together to help you see where each campus is strategically being the church.
We are in great need for each campus to commit to faithfully serve under the leadership of their Campus Pastor and Staff. There is a great need for volunteers to sign up with our music arts, production, connect, and kids teams. We also need people to step up and lead or host a community group in these regions. If you would be willing to commit to a Vintage Campus, please contact your Campus Pastor at the email below:
