I want to invite you to join me this Saturday morning, March 30th, at 7:14am to DRAW A CIRCLE around Dixon Hall at Tulane University’s Campus for a brief and simple time of prayer, Scripture, and prayer walking around Dixon Hall. We are going to “LISTEN, READ, SPEAK, and BE” as we believe God for REVIVAL to pour out this Easter at Tulane. Let me explain how I got to this place.
Over the Christmas break I read a book called “The Circle Maker” by a church planter in Washington, D.C. named Mark Batterson. The basic concept of this book is prayer. It really is one of the best books I’ve ever read on prayer. Mark has also written a prayer guide called “Draw the Circle” for those who feel led to take a 40-Day Prayer Challenge. Here is a link to this resource: “Draw the Circle Prayer Challenge“.
As I read this book God placed a passion on my heart to pray and draw a circle around New Orleans. I believe that REVIVAL is possible in our city and I know you do too! Over the Lent Season I have taken this forty-day prayer challenge with some of our Vintage leaders. Basically, we made a commitment to pray each morning at 7:14 am a powerful verse for Vintage Church and New Orleans.
2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
I have been amazed at how God has moved over the last 30+ days and I am believing that Jesus will continue to move as we gather for prayer on Saturday morning and for our Easter Gathering at Tulane’s Dixon Hall. Click here to read a great guide by Tim Keller & Center Church for prayer walking.
Thanks for believing with us that Jesus is going to move in New Orleans in such a way that He alone gets the glory! See you on Saturday morning as we DRAW A CIRCLE!
