4 Things You Need to Know this Week at Vintage Church…

Vintage Family here are 4 things happening this week that you don’t want to miss.

Vintage Uptown:  New Gathering

Starting this Sunday, August 26th, we will have 2 gatherings at our Uptown Campus. Gathering times are 5pm & 6:45pm. We are excited about the way God’s Spirit is at work growing our Uptown campus. We are also excited to welcome Tulane and Loyola students back. So bring a neighbor or friend this Sunday night. More information: http://vintageunited.tv/uptown

Vintage Metairie:  Baptism

Baptism is a testimony of life change that comes through trusting in Jesus Christ. At Vintage Church this life change is a time of celebration. We are excited to baptize several people this Sunday at 10:40am at our Metairie Campus. Our baptisms are held outdoors and are truly times of celebration (think: tailgate party as opposed to funeral service). So come ready to cheer, clap and rejoice in life change. Read “Have You Been Baptized (the right way)” on the Vintage United Blog.

Vintage Family Meeting

Throughout the year our church gathers as a family for an additional time of fellowship, prayer and worship. This Saturday night we will have a Family Meeting. We are excited to share with everyone about some of the opportunities coming this fall. We are also excited to watch the Saints & Texans game on the BIG screen in HD.  Parents, feel free to bring your children.  We will have pizza and snacks.

Saturday August 25th at the Uptown Arts Center
Time: 6–7pm,  Saints’ game follows.

Vintage Community Groups

One of the most important aspects of Jesus’ ministry was the time He spent with the people He loved. He ate meals with them, prayed with them, spoke the truth to them, and met their physical and spiritual needs. As the modern day hands and feet of Jesus, we are called to love each other in the same way. Here at Vintage Church this happens through our CGs.  A Community Group is an intimate group of people who encourage each other to become more like Jesus.  It is all about a relationship with Jesus and with people.
