Read MoreMoney is a powerful tool, that when used rightly can enable and empower a person and family. But money is also powerfully destructive to people and families when mismanaged or abused. What is interesting is that either happiness and fulfillment or pain and stress come from how we manage our money. In Psalm 90:10-17 we are called to number the days of our life, which will most likely be 70, 80, or 90 years, so that we can maximize our opportunity to work on Jesus’ mission of seeing the Church impact lives in our city and world.

Read MoreThe ideas below are practical steps you can take to start saving and investing (you can read part one on mindset and approach here). If you are not currently saving or investing, work through these steps over time, knocking out one at a time (or educate yourself on other approaches and figure out a plan that works best for you). Start slowly by eliminating a fun activity/pleasure purchase here or there if you currently live above or below your means and make a conscious decision to save that money. Read MoreAs believers and followers of Jesus, there is a great tension between our sinful condition and the grace and mercy of Jesus on our behalf. Our world is full of an abundance of issues and problems. It doesn’t take long to notice that our world is in deep, thick turmoil. God’s provision is evident in His warning to Noah (Genesis 6:13, 17; 7:4), His instructions to build the ark (Genesis 6:14-16, 19-21), and in Him sending all living creatures to the ark (Genesis 7:8-9). Often overlooked is Noah’s obedience (Genesis 6:22; 7:5, 15; 8:18-19).
Read MoreLike so many issues we face in our daily lives, the topics of spending and debt, while mentioned in the Bible, aren’t explicitly mapped out for us. This leaves us with lots of questions about how to practically apply what the Bible says about money and debt into the routines of our lives. Here are a few important questions.
Read MoreThere is a simple reality that is most likely true in all our lives: we will invest our time, our money, and our resources into the things we deem most important. Pastor Rob shared this truth on Sunday, when he said, “The way you use your money directly reflects what you believe is most important in your life!” The sad reality is that we all have things that we prioritize over God, the church, and even our family.
Read More“Christianity is the only true religion!” For many, that claim rings true, but for others that claim seems pompous and intolerant. The exclusivity of Christianity has been, since its inception, a controversial and often debated topic. In the New Testament, the early Christians waged war with two primary groups.
