Will You Seek the Lord?

Will You Seek the Lord?

If we’re honest with ourselves, many of us have asked questions similar to those found in Psalm 77. When we look around, either at our own lives or the lives of others, we see trouble, challenges, and suffering. Where is God in all of this?

We can be quick to dismiss God altogether, assuming he either doesn’t care or is simply non-existent. But Psalm 77 does not end with these questions. Yes, the psalmist asks these hard questions, but then he returns to his memories.

Announcing Our New Generations Director

Announcing Our New Generations Director

Today we are excited to announce Nick Perret as our new Generations Director of Vintage Church. Nick is born and raised in New Orleans, and in fact spent the majority of his childhood only a few blocks from our church ministry facility. Nick and his family have been at Vintage for many years and has served in various capacities at Vintage and other churches in New Orleans over the years. Since the Lord first drew Nick’s heart toward ministry, his passion has been to reach the young people of this beautiful city for His Kingdom. He believes they are the future.

How Will You Make Future Impact?

How Will You Make Future Impact?

We often fail to see how the little actions in life over a long period of time can lead to future impact in our lives and in our world. However, we’ve all seen those stories where one person did one thing for one person and it changed the world forever. We see this in the Bible. Individuals like Jesus, Peter, Paul, and others literally turned the world upside down.

A few weeks ago, Vintage Church unveiled our new 2-year ministry initiative, ANTICIPATE. This 2-year initiative is the vision and direction the Lord is calling Vintage Church to. As a part of this initiative, Vintage Church is committing the next two years to Future Impact. How will we experience future impact? One way is through Gospel Conversations.

It's Time to SHIFT!

As we celebrated our 10th birthday as a church family yesterday, Pastor Dustin challenged us to anticipate our future. What are you anticipating God to do in your life, in our church, in our city, in our world?

Anticipation should bring us to prayer for the future.

This Sunday, we will be kicking off a new series, SHIFT, where we will look at the what Jesus has to say about our priorities—specifically our relationships, time, and money. A major focus of this series will be prayer and fasting. If we are anticipating God to move, we should be hitting our knees in prayer for that future! We’re going to rally together as a church family to pray for the next four Wednesday mornings from 6–7a. We will also be challenging our church to fast on these Wednesdays.

We hope you’ll join us in prayer and fasting as we look to SHIFT for our future!
