Life Groups, Life Change

At Vintage Church, we believe that community is so important. Coming to a Sunday worship gathering serves a significant purpose in someone’s personal and spiritual life, but even that alone will not be enough to provide the depth and focus that we all need to have a thriving life after Jesus. Because of this, we have vGroups, which are groups of 10-20 people who meet throughout the city for transformation, connection and multiplication. These vGroups are where men and women from all walks of life meet in people’s homes to fellowship, study God’s Word and pray together. Although vGroups are extremely important, we are also excited about our Life Groups. Life Groups are gender-specific groups of 3-5 people who meet regularly for the purpose of focused discipleship. We have some people who are in Life Groups already, but we want to see many more step people into this as well.

Announcing the Next Lead Pastor for Vintage NOLA

Today we are excited to enlist Pastor Dustin Turner as the next Lead Pastor of Vintage Church NOLA. Dustin and his family have been at Vintage since 2008 and he has served as a pastor since August 2011. The Lead Pastor is responsible for leading the Church in accordance with Biblical principles found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. The Lead Pastor will be the leader among equals of the Full Council of Pastors, Deacons, and Partners of Vintage Church NOLA. Pastor Dustin's responsibilities will be to oversee leadership, preaching, equipping, and vision.

“So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have.” - 2 Corinthians 8:11

We are amazed at all that the Lord has done over the last decade and excited as Pastor Dustin leads us in 2018 to Complete the Pathway and more.

Vintage Church Pittsburgh - Coming 2019

Today Vintage Church is excited to not only celebrate 10 years of faithful ministry of our Founding Pastor and his family, but we are sending them to plant a second Vintage Church in Pittsburgh, PA. This new church will be planted in strategic partnership with the North American Mission Board’s SEND Network. The SEND Network is planting churches in 32 North American cities. We have enjoyed our partnership with them in New Orleans, New York City, and Denver. Pastor Rob will begin serving as a NAMB Missionary starting on January 1, 2018. On top of working with NAMB, we are excited to announce a new partnership with Long Hollow Baptist Church. The Wiltons will move to Nashville, TN at the end of the year and begin as a Church Planting Resident with Long Hollow Baptist Church. Longhollow Baptist Church will serve as a strategic sending church. Pastor Rob will also serve with their staff to help launch their new church planting strategy. After this time, the Wilton family and a core team will then move to Pittsburgh at the end of the summer 2018. It is our hope to celebrate the official launch of Vintage Church PITT in 2019.

Pastor Rob Wilton and his family have accepted God’s call to become the Lead Pastor of Preaching and Vision for Downtown Baptist Church in Orlando, FL. He will be sent out at the end of 2017 to expand the Gx Network and ministry of Vintage Church. Pastor Rob will be officially presented to Downtown Baptist Church on June 25 and will remain in New Orleans serving as our Founding and Lead Pastor until the end of 2017.

How a Vintage Partner Wrote a Book

Last year, Drew Boudreaux, a Vintage Partner, wrote and published a new book, Supraphysica. The crazy thing is that Drew is not an author by trade. He's a geologist! The Lord put it upon Drew's heart to expand his abilities and take up writing fiction. 

Supraphysica is a story about a young man, Philip who accidentally befriends an angle. Philip along with a group of others is tasked by God to create a new earth. Throughout the process, Philip's faith is stretched. If you look science fiction, you'll love this book. If you love stories of faith, you'll love this book.
